Where is June?

I am the Guest DT over at Everything Scrappn this month. I did two super simple projects for my teachers. When you are making things for 80 people...sometimes simple is better.

I have GOT to get some layouts finished. I hope it is like riding a bicycle. I feel like it has been forever.

I am so happy for the LSU Tigers...they played a fantastic series. The CWS did not dissapoint.

My Royals won last night...Yay!!! I am super stoked...my boy...John Buck is feeling better and is rehabbing in AAA Omaha...sounds like another trip to Omaha is in order!! Woot!!

I am going to the lake this weekend to do nothing. Yay!!!

When I say weekend...I mean Friday night to Saturday afternoon...but I will take whatever I can get. It is wicked hot and I am supposed to play golf on Saturday...we will see...my body doesn't do well in the heat.

It is so bad here...110 degrees and higher for the heat index. We had a microburst in Liberty the other night. I had NO power!!! Oh.My.Heck. It was miserable. I put the kids in the car and we drove around with the air on. Lol!

Off to visit my neglected friend's blogs...

Cinnabuns: Part 2

Ok...so this was not the original concept for my pictures for the Leia Project. I love my husband, but he can't take a picture to save his life. I had him take pictures of me shopping at Coach, playing golf, ya know...doing the everyday things that Leia would do. Nope. They all look like I am being chased by some large animal. So...here it is...Me...drinking Diet Pepsi. Leia would do it.
So...some of you asked about Twilight...hmmm...ok...as a movie, I didn't think it was awesome. It seems like you had to have a base of knowledge going into the movie. I had to ask my husband(the resident Twilight expert) about everything. If they wanted to do a stand alone movie that everyone could watch and enjoy, I wish they would have done a little more character building. I didn't know anything about anything. Bella is a horrible actress...lol...sorry...I really feel bad for saying not-so-nice things...One of these days when I am done going to school and I don't have any more textbooks to read, I will read this series of books. I know that the books are incredible. My husband read them all in one week. He doesn't read anything unless it involves a Harley or a video game...so I am impressed. On another note...I love Alice. She is super cute and spunky and she can climb up and rip your head off...that is pretty awesome.
The College World Series was amazing last night. It is seriously so hot here that I just don't want to move. 110 is hot. There should be another word for 110 degrees. The boys playing baseball for almost 5 hours is incredible. Texas had 5 home runs! Congrats to LSU for coming back and taking the first game.
Better off Ted is new tonight. It is funny. I love Portia de Rossi!!

Cinnabuns Across America

I finally took my Cinnabuns Across America picture. I love it. This is my daughter...and her Father...Lol!!! My family is such a bunch of Star Wars geeks...I don't know how we could have done anything else. I will post my other picture later and send this off to the next lucky lady!!
On another note...my daughter finally got me to watch Twilight. So...I watched it.
We just started getting NetFlix...I LOVE it!!!! There are a bajillion movies and tv shows that you can watch right on your laptop. My kids love it. It literally takes one day for me to receive my movie in the mail then one day to send it back to them. Then they send me another. Awesome.
I need to get back to it...Hope you had a fantastic Father's Day...Have a great Monday!!!

The Road to Omaha

That was the name of the tournament debacle this past weekend.
First off, it is the same time as the College World Series...If you live in Omaha, you know...stay away from the College World Series!! It is insane!! The hotels double their rates, the lines are crazy...don't even think about going to the zoo...lol
Dakota had school Friday so he missed that day of the tournament. We left Liberty at 3:00 in the a.m...the a.m...
After arriving an hour before the 8:00 game to practice, we were informed that the fields were too wet and come back at noon...that means 11 because we have to be there an hour beofre to loosen up. So...we had a nice tour of Omaha courtesy of "Karen"...our friendly GPS (named after Plankton's computer wife of the same name on Spongebob)
We used to live there, so I am kinda familiar with where I am.
Anyhoo...We drive around Omaha, hit a few garage sales, natch...come back at 11.
We get back and they say...still too wet, come back at 5...seriously...if I wasn't too tired right now, I would seriously break out some ninja moves right now...seriously.
Ok...back in the car...hey...let's go to Old Chicago...they have the bomb nachos...seriously...go there and get the nachos...we hit 3 Harley dealerships and help out the local economy...then go back at 4:00 where they tell us that they are NOT going to have any games today...but come back at 11 in the morning and we will play. These games are not cheap...we paid almost a grand to get in this tournament.
Needless to say...the call our coach at 6:00 in the morning on Sunday and say let's play at 8 instead of 11...so we go to the fields at 7 and they cancel the whole damn thing.
Deep Breaths...
The picture above is from another game...clearly...I am drowning in my own life...but enjoying every bit of it...so don't feel sorry for me. I am trying to visit blogs and keep my sanity...I love you all and I have not forgotten about any of you...especially my Cinnabons across America and as soon as I can get my daughter and husband in the same place...I will take the last pic and send them to the next person. I have a cute idea and I hope it will be worth it.

I Need a Vacation from my Vacation

I know that I love my children more than anything in the world. I also know that I never want to take them on vacation again. Seriously...

The yelling and crying and fit throwing...(that was just me)...It has taken me all morning and most of the afternoon to get through my email. I brought the laptop with me but I was so tired by the time we got back to the room every day that I couldn't muster enough energy to open it. If I haven't got to your blog...I will...my google reader has about a thousand new blog posts to read.

Oh, the laundry...it is bad...you could use the washer and dryer at the resort for free but I didn't...now that I think of it...I could have used that for a little escape from those darn kids...lol

The picture above is the kids in the paddle boat. Bailey wanted to go until they got out, then she was scared, then she had to go to the bathroom. I laughed so hard my face hurt. We had SO much fun!! We went boating, swimming, shopping, mini-golfing, regular golfing, lol, shopping, more swimming, go-carting, we ate so much it isn't funny...it was a lot of fun...but I really do need a vacation from my vacation.

Can Somebody Slow Down Time?

Here is my submission for the Marks Paper Co. contest. Y'all know I love this paper. I wish I could buy some for everyone. It is really nice...heavy weight and it looks like linen. It is so easy to work with and I like the way you can distress the edges...sometimes if your paper is too thin, it is really hard to do.
This weekend was wicked insane. We took the kids to the Drive In...we are really lucky to still have those here. We saw Night at the Museum 2 and X Men Wolverine. I thought the Museum lost a little bit of the magic the first one had, but it was still a good movie. I love XMen! This was a fantastic movie. Action-packed and totally awesome!
The weekend was not kind to my sports teams...the Cavs lost, the Lakers lost, my Royals lost...although we did take one from St. Louis, so it wasn't totally bad. We don't care much for those Cardinals of St. Louis, ya know. The penguins are on a streak...hopefully they can win the next game and get some rest...they deserve it...Crosby and Malkin are amazing! They should have been the Kansas City Penguins...what can you do?
Wipeout starts tomorrow night...seriously...it is funny...good mind-numbing, funny TV!
I am just gonna say that I love Twitter one more time...I do...You can get updates by text right to your phone. I get them from my news stations, weather, the President...that's right...President Obama texts me...uh huh!
You can get instant info right to your phone...and you can also get stuff from Shaq and Jon Stewart and Ellen DeGeneres...lol!! I really love it and I think you would too. :)

Where is her Mother?

Yeah, yeah...I did get in trouble for this one. My mom yelled at me. I am 30 *cough* ish *cough*. You can see that my freckles are already starting to darken and multiply...and that cross is imprinted upon my chest...not sure what that means, lol...
I have a nice white cross in the middle of a sea of red skin. If more people than usual start flocking to me...I will let you know. =)
I am loving the finals so far in basketball. Tonight, the fighting LeBron's take on the Magic...should be a great game. Last night's Lakers-Nuggets was seriusly exciting.
Speaking of exciting...I am sure my neighbors thought that something was seriously wrong at our house last night...or maybe not...screaming might be the norm...lol...
The Royals won in serious fashion! Oh My Gosh!!!! Back to back home runs and a sacrifice fly to come back and beat Cleveland in the 9th! I have goosebumps just thinking about it!!
Wow!!! Amazing...that is all I can say. I love my Royals.
I am attempting something today that I have never done before...wait for it...I am going to use a pattern...what? Are you sick? Maybe it was the sun...Maybe it was the way the cross is permanently emblazoned into my skin...but yes...I will use a pattern to make a shirt today! I make my own shirts all the time. I like a nice sleeveless shirt like the one in the picture above. I made that one. The free shirts at the Royals games are a man's XL...that is way too big and it looks like a tent on me. I cut off the sleeves and add some elastic to the top...Viola! Shirt!
p.s. I bought the new BioFit 7 bra from Victoria's Secret yesterday...Hello!!! I LOVE it!!!

Slowly but Surely

We are drying out...Thanks for all the dancing and praying and good thoughts. My work room is downstairs. I was throwing Thickers to higher ground like a mad woman. I wasn't online all weekend or yesterday. It is the last week of school and it is absolute chaos...not like normal chaos...but the kind where people have lost their minds.
I think of things I need to blog and then I forget.
The new ad is up at Ad This. She is looking for a new design team. I love working with the ads. If you would like to submit...now is your chance.
I had a jewelry party on Sunday...if you are in need of some Premiere jewelry...lemme know...Lol!! I will close out my show soon.
We went to the Royals game and I am burnt to a crisp. We split the series with the Orioles. I sat in front of some idiots who didn't know how to pronounce the names of the players...on either team...ooooh...that just aggravates me so much!
I can't wait for the NBA finals to start! LeBron is so totally due. The commercial where he and Kobe are puppets is hilarious.
Idol finale tonight...I like Kris...but Adam...I am a total Glambert...LOVE him!!

I made this for my MIL. It goes in a really nice black frame. I tried to take the picture with it in the frame but I kept getting a bad glare. I love it. How can you not love that Prima flower goodness? I used my new Swirlydoos Vintage Chic Kit!
May has been so busy...I apologize for not keeping up with my own blog...and for not being able to keep up with everyone else's blog. May is rough. I just finished up Teacher/Staff Appreciation week. It went really well. We have baseball games every night this week. The last PTA meeting of the year is tonight. Thank you to everyone who put out food on Saturday. I will let you know how much was collected as soon as I know.
I have an "in" with the post office...I live with mailman. :)

That is an insane amount! Hopefully this year will be just as successful!

Going to the Royals game Saturday night...American Idol tonight...I really wanted Margie and Luke to win the Amazing Race...Go Penguins! (Game 7 Wednesday night!!)...oh Mark Cuban...I love you...I understand your passion...I ain't mad atcha. I am on sport overload right now...Sunday was such a fabulous day...my family took me to my favorite place to eat then gave me presents and then we watched Golf and Baseball and Basketball and NASCAR...good day...and I took a nap...Great day!!

I think for now I will pretend it didn't happen. This strategy has got me through the first 30 years of my life...why stop now?

And...wait for it...I cried! It is what I do, ya know. I am just so happy...there is plenty of room on my bandwagon for everyone, I guess...lol! Walk up ticket sales are up 80%! Holy Shnikees!

I brought Panera for the staff this morning. I am embroidering polo shirts for them today. Lol! I am going to try to have them all done by tomorrow...lmao...
